What to Bring
Wear your best fitting pair of jeans or leggings and a solid color tank or t-shirt
Bring 2-3 pairs of shoes (1 dress shoe or heel, 1 casual or boot)
Come with a clean face (no make-up please) and clean, dried hair
Ladies, please bring nude or black color under garments (strapless bras preferred)
Jason and Tara Massey
Dove Light Photography is known for connecting with people, bringing out their dreams, and capturing their best in an image. Dove Light Photography started out as Jason Massey Photography and traveled between Alaska, Florida, and L.A. on a regular basis. Jason began his career shooting the beautiful nature in Alaska then went to school for Photography in Florida where he connected with many aspiring musicians and models. He even went on tour and photographed numerous concerts and shows. Jason ended up photographing big names like Mark Russell, Katelyn Tarver, Brian Kelley, Kaitlyn Squires and more. A vacation to Michigan led him to meeting Tara who is now his wife and business partner. Tara Massey has always had an eye for beauty, and has a passion for helping people and pursuing the arts. She studied communications and videography in college. Together, Jason and Tara are an unbeatable husband/wife team who dream of making a difference in people’s lives and photographing stars who are reaching their dreams.
Elisabeth Bartrom grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and always new she’d be a part of the beauty industry. Her calling was clear when she attended MSU and Chic Cosmetology School. She soon landed a job in a high end salon but her passion to further her education took her to New York, L.A., and Chicago chasing knowledge and experience to be the best possible stylist.
Though her experience made her thrive with a following when she returned to Grand Rapids, she knew she could take things to another level. Elisabeth took an opportunity as a Color Specialist in the salon at world renowned ARIA Resort on the Las Vegas strip. Because of her keen sense of creativity and her ability to cater to all the needs around her, she was sought out and styling hair for Fashion Shows, Photo Shoots, and Celebrity Events, She serviced cocktail waitresses, tourists, celebrities, CEO’s, and many kinds of people allowing her to gain experience with a variety of versatile looks. This landed her at Ultra Exclusive Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas where she did hair and make-up for the “Whos Who’s” of the world. She also styled hair for the Academy of Country Music Awards, Playboy Shoots, and The Miss America Pageant!
You can impact up close or impact from a far. Elisabeth chose to go back to Grand Rapids to start her own salon and share her heightened knowledge and experience with Grand Rapids area by opening Chasing Vanity Salon and Spa! It is the place to go to feel like a celebrity. Elisabeth uses her skills, teaching tools, and life experiences to create a friendly, atmosphere for all kinds of people. She can’t wait to see you there!
Most recently, Jennifer Jelsema was featured in Meet the Coopers, a CBS film, the lead in >1 by Airship Cinema, featured in Meanwhile 20 Years Later, directed by Victor Fanucchi, and in Anonymous Film’s The End of the Tour, directed by James Ponsoldt. A professional actor and model, Jennifer is also active in community theatre, performing in Water by the Spoonful, Circle Mirror Transformation, and Distracted for Actors’ Theater Grand Rapids, The Vagina Monologues with Barefoot Productions, and in Grand Rapids Jewish Theatre’s production of Bitter Friends. She resides in Holland, Michigan with her family.

A healthy energizing meal will be provided by Nate Ashcraft, owner of Grand Rapids healthiest fast food restaurant. Nate will also give an insightful presentation on why it is so important to put “good” foods into our bodies to obtain the proper confidence and wellness needed to pursue our dreams. He will also enlighten us with the story of how Freshii came to Grand Rapids and why he decided to take the risk and pursue something so great.
